Our History

The Richland County Genealogical Society was organized in May of 1977, due to the efforts of several local people interested in family and county history. Charter memberships were available until December 31, 1977 and 65 individuals and 11 family memberships were obtained.  Today we have 125 members, with our Society magazine being mailed throughout the

We are housed in the library on the 2nd floor of Olney Central College, Olney, Illinois, —located on Rt 130 North then West at the stop light at Rural King Store We are available to assist you on Tuesdays and Thursdays  10am – 4pm—–other days by appointment only We are closed Saturdays and Sundays Telephone
